Win Half a King by Joe Abercrombie - Giveaway

Half A King by Joe Abercrombie is fab!

It takes you through his journey of fear, excitement, hard work and much more.  It starts off a bit like this: Yarvie is about to became king.  He has to marry someone he hardly knows.  Everything goes wrong and he becomes a slave.

As a slave Yarvie did really well.  He rowed a boat with lots of other slaves doing the same, despite having a crippled hand.  Yarvie seemed to always take the risk, even if it meant he might die.

Yarvie is locked down in a cellar-like place with lots of other people.  He gets bought by someone and has to work for them.  He has the job of rowing the boat along with lots of other slaves.  He makes friends with a few of the slaves.  Jaud is one of his friends, so is Rulf, Samuel and more.

One night some slaves are singing and one says something like this "does anyone else know some other tunes?"  Yarvie know some and sings them and whenever he finishes people ask for another one.  He ends up getting a job as a store keeper.

Yarvie is having a bad dream and wakes up to find Trigg strangling him.  This is because Trigg said to Yarvie that he needs him to steal some money and give half of it to Trigg so that he can give a little bit to everyone and 'keep smiles all round'.  Yarvie says that he will need some time.  It seems Trigg is impatient and so that is why he strangles Yarvie.

The boat sinks after Yarvie makes a line in it.  Only a few people survive.  Yarvie, Samuel, Rulf and a few others survive.  They sit around a fire in the snow and decide whether they will go east or west.  All of them decide to go west except for one...

This story is great and so I am not going to give the ending away.  Since I am a girl I found this book a bit too masculine but that is all I think is a bit bad.  It's more of a boy book.  Anyway it was fab and if you want to buy it then you can by clicking here.
